Carey Gully Sandstone is known for its distinctive flat, bluestone-like shape and darker contrasting tones — typically light/dark grey, light brown, dark reds or occasional blacks. Compared to Basket Range Sandstone, it’s flatter and more angular, making it ideal for dry stack random walls.
