Benefits of veneer (or cladding)
- Available in 3 different heights, 76mm, 162mm and 248mm @ 25-30mm thick and random lengths these match the heights of standard bricks so they can be used in conjunction with brick/rendered quoins. We can supply in a Random Ashlar pattern (more Traditional) or a Stretcher Bond pattern (more Modern).
- Lighter weight, meaning that these can be installed on second levels or gables where a lighter framework is used and/or needed.
- Great for retrofitting existing structures. Our veneers can be installed over many different substrates which means that refreshing the look of an older house or retaining wall is possible.
- Can be used on top of pre-engineered designs where solid block will not fit or doesn’t have the structural rigidity required due to design constraints.
Please note: our sandstone is still heavy (flat veneer is about 65kg per m2) and will require extra mechanical fixings to ensure safety.

Benefits of choosing block over veneer
- Available in the same 3 sizes as veneer, 76mm, 162mm and 248mm @ 110mm thick and random lengths
- Does not require another trade to install the substrate, can be installed as a single leaf (with timber framing) or as a double stone wall (just like a double brick home).
- Our stone is 110mm which means that it can be installed anywhere you can put a brick wall.
- The corners can be solid stone, rather than mitreing or butt jointing a veneer which can be an art unto itself.

- Generally used for feature walls and fireplaces Random Wallers will bring a classic earthiness into your home, or create that wow factor on your street frontage.
- Random Wallers are one of our more economical products and will create a natural ambience whether used in the garden or on your home.
Please note: Random Wallers to be laid in their natural form will require more of a foot print than 110mm block. We recommend having about a 250mm setback to ensure the Random Wallers can be installed without the extra work of cutting them back.
